Most slip events occur on wet floors. 

However, it is not correct to say that all wet floors are unsafe.

In an event where a plaintiff’s solicitor is ready to abandon a case following denial in liability by the defendant, the conducting of Slip Resistance Testing can result in a rapid climb-down by the defendant when the results show that floor safety had been compromised. Alternatively, in the event of a Slip Resistance Test recording a Low Slip Potential, even on a wet floor; a plaintiff would often settle for a lower sum in damages, or even drop the case. (ie. Pendulum Test Value greater than or equal to 36)
